JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented brand designer to join our team on a 4-5 month contract basis.. This position involves design strategy and concept development, collaborating with our creative and strategy teams and presenting flexible brand ID concepts to clients.

This role is a hands-on designer and a project leader, creative thinker, design advocate and client relationship steward for projects and relationship-building locally and nationally. This team member must love to push new ideas and get excited about managing diverse projects while collaborating with internal and external teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Concept and design beautiful and flexible identity systems and execute those systems through a variety of applications such as print, digital, environmental and experiential
  • Prepare and present design work to clients, sharing conceptual and strategic thinking
  • Collaborate with and support teammates in producing the highest quality work in a variety of aesthetic styles for both B2B and B2C projects
  • Coordinate with Account team members to refine and perfect project estimating, budgeting, timeline expectations, deliverables and client management

 

EXPERTISE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Graphic Design: equivalent experience may be substituted
  • 3+ years of relevant brand design experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. primarily InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Deep understanding of layout and design principles including of typography, composition and use of color
  • Active understanding of brand systems and how they translate to print, digital and built environments
  • Ability to simplify the complex into creative and effective communication pieces
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills
  • Great written and communication skills, ability to present your work and design rationale
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong, positive attitude and total team player
